The Ethologische Gesellschaft e.V. was founded on the 10th of October 1978 by Prof. Christiane Buchholtz, Dr Karl-Ludwig Damm, Prof. Dierk Franck, Dr Herbert Gro\u00df, Prof. Georg R\u00fcppell, Dr Norbert Krischke and Prof. Jakob Parzefall. Ever since, the society has been shaped and led by scholars who promote Behavioral Biology in research, teaching and the public. Please find below all previous council members since the society\u2019s foundation. If you wish to learn more about the society, we recommend the book by our former president Prof. Dierk Franck \u201cEine Wissenschaft im Aufbruch – Chronik der Ethologischen Gesellschaft 1949-2000\u201d, which was published in 2008 by Niel & More.<\/p>\n
